U.S. Border Patrol Station, Baring, ME
Contract # GS-00P-12-CY-C-0086
The United States Border Patrol has the sole duty of the detection and prevention of illegal entry of aliens and smuggling of illegal contraband into the United States, as well as to detect and prevent the entry of terrorists and their weapons. The Calais Border Patrol Station has become overcrowded and requires additional space to house the Border Patrol Agents and additional space for equipment storage.
The Calais Border Patrol Station Renovation project involves three different areas of work: the construction of a 27’ x 32’ addition for office space; construction an addition on to the existing locker room; and various interior renovations. The new office space addition will create four new offices with two workstations in each and will be constructed to match the existing brick façade and metal roof. The expansion of the locker room will be constructed in the existing vehicle bay. This new area will provide the Border Patrol Station with an additional 33 new lockers for the staff. The other various interior renovations include moving the location of doors to create better access, transforming a room into a highly secure HSDN room, and moving walls to create a barrier between workspaces.
