Contract # GS-01P-09-BZ-D-0034; Task Order GS-01P-14-BZ-D-0015

Classic was the chosen contractor for many of the projects contained in this federal building. The projects ranged from abatement, demolition and construction of new spaces on multiple floors. A unique challenge to working in an occupied federal building is the special clearances required and held by Classic personnel. To minimize any disruption to the tenants any noisy work was performed after hours during the night. Again during the work in this building Classic drew upon its own resources to carefully plan and execute these projects. From demolition to safety upgrades of fireproofing and sprinkler systems and installation of custom millwork to elevator door replacements the tenants had safe access to their occupied spaces and comforts.
Mechanical systems were installed and integrated into the existing ones. This included new design calculations of the Fire Alarms and Sprinkler systems performed by Classic’s subcontractors. Custom millwork that was existing was either carefully removed and reinstalled or protected in place, and refinished to match the new custom millwork and doors that Classic provided. A new kitchenette build out was incorporated into the existing space. New ceilings, carpet and window treatments throughout the entire area were installed to complete the renovation work.
